Penza, 14 February 2018. PenzaNews. The head of the Penza administration Victor Kuvaytsev noted positive changes in the results of the work on cleaning sidewalks from ice.

"A positive trend is observed, but there are still areas that have not been put in a proper condition. This refers to Bekeshskaya, Ternopolskaya, 8 Marta, and Prospekt Pobedy streets," he said as a result of city inspection carried out on Wednesday morning, February 14.

The director of the city housing and communal services department Denis Leontyev informed the mayor that altogether 745,000 square metres of sidewalks are in the contract of the municipal unitary enterprise Penzadormost and 100% of them were processed with a sand-salt mixture.

Victor Kuvaytsev ordered his deputy on city economy Yuri Ilyin to ensure thorough cleaning of pedestrian areas as soon as possible and to intensify works on removing snow drifts.

In addition, he contacted heads of district administrations and gave them the task to ensure that employees of administrations, enterprises, management companies and homeowners associations participate in cleaning of territories, the press service of the mayor's office informs.
