Penza mayor urges that city prepared to spring flood

Penza, 18 February 2018. PenzaNews. The head of the Penza administration Victor Kuvaytsev urged to clean the city from snow as well as possible in anticipation of spring thaw.

"It is necessary that snow should be removed from the street and road network of the city and from municipal parking space round the clock, it is necessary to prepare the city to spring flood," he said to the deputy head of the municipal unitary enterprise Penzadormost Maxim Ivankin at a meeting in the mayor's office on Saturday, February 17.
Victor Kuvaytsev noted that the central roads are well-cleaned while minor roads should be cleaned more conscientiously.
"Pedestrian walkways and pavements were cleaned but the ice still remains in many areas," the mayor added.
According to Penzadormost data, over 2.5 cubic meters of snow were removed from Sovetskaya, Suvorova, Krasnaya and Ternovskogo streets over the night. 25 trucks were involved in the work.
Snow melting equipment processed 386 cubic metres of snow over the last day, the press service of the Penza administration informs.
