According to available information, asphalt milling equipment was used for cleaning the area, which had been repaired in 2017.

The works were carried out on the eve of Maslenitsa, which was celebrated in the Belinsky central park of culture and leisure on Sunday, February 18.

According to Penza vice mayor Yury Ilyin responsible for city services, the guilty official, who used to work in the municipal unitary enterprise Penzadormost, was fired.

"The head of Penzadormost in Leninsky district was dismissed for such an initiative," he reported.

The deputy head of the Penza administration emphasized that in spring the pavement will be restored at the expense of enterprise's own funds.

"We are not going to patch it, instead we will cover it with another layer of asphalt," he promised.
