130 houses flooded in Nizhnelomovsky area

Penza, 9 April 2018. PenzaNews. 130 houses got flooded in the Nizhnelomovsky area of the Penza region, 57 other buildings were underflooded. This was reported by head of the Penza region Communal Affairs and Civil Security Department Mikhail Panyukhin.

"The area administration prepared temporary accommodation in a Nizhny Lomov hotel, in the house of veterans in Golitsino, in the school of Peshaya Sloboda. All residential houses were inspected by local administrations. 35 people received consent to move to temporary housing. By today's morning one family, that is seven people, were evacuated," he specified at the action meeting held in the regional government on Monday, April 9.
Mikhail Panyukhin added that a section of road collapsed in the Issinsky area.
"Two settlements, that is 36 houses, 49 people excluding children, remained without a paved road," the head of the department explained noting that there is a bypass field road.
"A state of emergency was declared in the area as well as in Nizhny Lomov," he said.
Mikhail Panyukhin added that seven streets – 84 houses – had been underflooded in the village of Poum of the Belinsky area.
"Ten houses were underflooded in Srednerechye. The village of Shipilovka – four houses, ten people – was cut off. The population refused to evacuate. Delivery of all necessary goods to the village was organized," the head of the Penza region Communal Affairs and Civil Security Department said.
According to him, due to the rise of the water level in the Serdobsk area the territory of three houses was underflooded. Temporary accommodation was prepared in case the flood situation worsens.
