Penza, 11 April 2018. PenzaNews. The Sura river embankment under reconstruction located in the centre of Penza was flooded due to a sharp rise of water level in the night of Wednesday, April 11.

The lower walking area, where tiles had previously been laid, was covered with water. Branches of trees and debris were washed on it.

The flooded area was examined by head of Penza administration Victor Kuvaytsev and his deputy Magomed Agamagomedov.

At the site they met a representative of the contracting organization Torgovy Dom Vozrozhdenie.

The specialist assured them that the reconstruction will be continued as soon as the water level in the river is back to normal, the press service of the mayor's office informs.
