Waste landfill near Chemodanovka village 94% full

Penza, 19 November 2018. PenzaNews. The only solid waste landfill in Penza located near the village of Chemodanovka is 94% full. This was reported by the press service of the City Hall.

Its capacity is 7,425,000 tons.
Every year more than 300,000 tons of garbage are buried at the landfill. In 2015, the amount was 312,600 tons, in 2016 – 329,800 tons, in 2017 – 336,900 tons, over 9 months of 2018 – 267,700 tons.
Since the beginning of 2018, the municipal unitary enterprise for city cleaning has sorted and delivered more than 32 tons of waste, including 2.3 tons of scrap metal and 29.7 tons of plastic containers, to the reception points of recyclable materials.
To date, LLC Development and Cleaning Administration has submitted a package of documents to the Department for Tariff Regulation and Energy Saving of the Penza region to obtain a tariff to dispose solid household waste. After the approval of the tariff, the organization will begin to renegotiate contracts with subscribers.
Starting January 1, 2019, LLC Development and Cleaning Administration will be the only company that has a right to dispose solid municipal waste at the landfill.
The company is working with the administration of the Bessonovsky Area to conclude a concession agreement for the allocation of land for the construction of a new landfill for the storage of solid household waste.
