Penza, 5 April 2019. PenzaNews. The volume of sand-salt mixture poured on the roads of Penza in winter was significantly reduced. This was stated by head of the city administration Victor Kuvaytsev.

"This year, even taking into account the significant amount of precipitation, the sand-salt mixture was used by almost one third less than in previous years. Thanks to these measures, we have a good capacity of the storm system and will quickly clean the city from dust and dirt," he said, commenting on the progress of work on the improvement of the city during cleaning in the Lermontov Park on Friday, April 5.

The mayor also urged not to postpone cleaning of streets and public gardens till the citywide clean-up, which is scheduled for April 20.

"We understand that it is impossible to clean all urban areas on a Saturday, so the bulk of the improvement work must be completed before that moment. [...] At the clean-up, we will beautify the city so that it should look even more attractive," the press service of the city hall quotes Victor Kuvaytsev.
