“We need 173 units of snow removal equipment. Currently, unfortunately, we have only 71 units of equipment, so snow removal is difficult,” he said at a weekly meeting held at the City Hall on Wednesday, March 10.
Maxim Ivankin says that as of today, 335 000 cubic metres of snow were removed from city streets by the Penzadormost municipal enterprise.
According to him, in anticipation of the flood, the Penza Housing and Communal Services Department together with Penza's Department of Civil Defence and Emergency Situations identified 13 streets where flooding is possible.
“The snow will be removed from there in the near future – by March 20,” he stressed.
