Penza, 5 August 2021. PenzaNews. Penza Region applied for 3.2 billion roubles from the federal budget in 2022 to solve its water supply problems. This was announced by acting governor Oleg Melnichenko.

“Taking into account the conversation we had with President of the Russian Federation, we submitted an application for next year with the goal of attracting additional funds to the Penza region budget in the amount of 3.2 billion roubles to solve our water problems,” he said during a live broadcast on social media on Thursday, August 5.

According to Oleg Melnichenko, receiving federal support will allow to begin reconstruction of networks, water towers and artesian wells.

“I think that these funds will be allocated to us, since the president, actually, initiated an additional appeal on this issue,” the head of the region added.
