The teacher of PGUAS convicted for bribery in Penza

Penza, 26 May 2011. PenzaNews. The senior teacher of the department "Law" of the Penza State University of Architecture and Construction Michael Truchenkov convicted by the Court of the Oktyabrsky district in Penza. It was found that he indirectly received bribes from the four students at a rate of about 4th rubles for their assessments for the exam as "satisfactory" and "good" without actually testing their knowledge.

Senior Assistant Attorney of the Penza region Tatyana Ostrovskaya said: "When imposing a sentence the court took into account the view of the public prosecutor declared Michael Truchenkova guilty of an incriminated acts, part 2 of article 290 of the Criminal Code "Obtaining bribes for illegal actions."

According to Tatyana Ostrovskaya, the teacher was sentenced to 4 years imprisonment with a probation period of 3 years.

She also added, that the court stripped him of the right to engage in teaching activities for 3 years.
