Penza, 25 July 2011. PenzaNews. State of emergency is declared in Belinsky area of the Penza region because of locust attak. It's the seventh area where insects were found out this summer, along with Shemyshejsky, Gorodishchensky, Lopatinsky, Sosnovoborsky, Kuznetsky and Bekovsky areas.
Administration of the Belinsky area said: "In the village Korsaevka and adjoining territories the big congestion of Italian locust was revealed. Three operative groups, four units of equipment and a plane were used to liquidate insects".
As a result of the actions on the territory of 700 hectares, the revealed centers of a congestion of locust were localized.
The source in the administration said: "The head of Belinsky area ordered to check subordinated territories again concerning presence of locust".
