Penza, 1 August 2011. PenzaNews. More than 300 Penza drivers were fined after a spot-check for tinting of car glasses, exceeding the norms established by Federal Standard.

According to the senior state car inspector of the department of traffic police of Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the Penza region Vitaly Ivanov, all drivers convicted of illegal tinting of glasses got a penalty of 500 rubles and the instruction about elimination of infringement within 24 hours was given out.

He said: "During the next days the employees of traffic police will do repeated spot-check. If those drivers who had got the instruction to eliminate the infringement didn't follow the instruction, they will get repeated penalty of 500 up to 1000 rubles or will be arrested for 15 days".

Vitaly Ivanov also said that conscious drivers removed a film from the cars even during the first spot-check.
