Penza, 26 August 2011. PenzaNews. Penza policemen arrested two men with a previous conviction who were suspected of assaults related to robbery series of armed assaults.

According to the press-service of the department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the Penza region, the resident of Penza appealed to the police establishment № 2 and said that two men rushed into his apartment, pined his arms to his sides and threatening with a pistol and a knife demanded 400 thousand rubles. Having got this sum of money, the criminals beat him and disappeared.

After a complex of investigations the policemen arrested the criminals and began to study their possible implication in the other crimes of the Penza region.

The press service of the department said: "Besides, we proved their participation in the armed assault of the Penza office of crediting of physical persons in May, 2011. That day malefactors, having a subject similar to a pistol, and a knife came into a premise of office and demanded cash money from the employees of the firm. Having taken away 58 thousand rubles they disappeared".

Two cases of armed assaults were initiated according to part 2.3 item 162 of the criminal code of Russian Federation.

The source in the department said: "The arrested person will face the imprisonment for the term of up to twelve years. One case is sent to the court, the second is at a stage of preparation".
