In the Penza region four officials were condemned for swindle with apartments

Penza, 31 August 2011. PenzaNews. Four officials of Nizhnelomovsky area of the Penza region, the chief of juridical department of administration Svetlana Popova, passport registration officer Vera Kulazhenkova, chief engineer of MUP Vyacheslav Vostroknutov and the chief of branch of Department of the Federal Migration Service Elena Yerokhina were condemned on a charge of swindle.

As news agency "PenzaNews" informed earlier, Svetlana Popova was a member of the interdepartmental commission which considered the possibility and expediency of change of the legal status of municipal hostels. Knowing about forthcoming change of the status of the hostel located in the street Ostrovskaya, 1 into the apartment house, she and Vostroknutov, Kulazhenkova and Erohina decided to get the ownership of the property of other people illegally.

The press-service of Nizhnelomovsky district court said: "The crimes were made during March, 2006 - December, 2007. Vostroknutov instructed passport registration officer Kulazhenkova to fill the forms of warrants on reception of habitation dated 2004. Popova, knowing about fake, vised them as the chief of legal department and sent to the head of administration. Yerokhin carried out registration in a residence. Thus, these persons became the owners of seven apartments in the hostel which was planned to be changed into apartment house".

The court recognized that Svetlana Popova was guilty of fulfillment 7 crimes and appointed 1 year 6 months of imprisonment in a general regime colony and the penalty of 10 thousand rubles.

Vera Kulazhenkova was condemned conditionally for 1 year 6 months of imprisonment with a trial period of 3 years and the penalty of 10 thousand rubles.

Vyacheslav Vostroknutov got punishment conditionally in the form of 1 year 4 months of imprisonment with a trial period and the penalty of 8 thousand rubles.

Elena Yerokhina was condemned conditionally for 1 year 4 months of imprisonment with a trial period of 2 years 6 months and the penalty of 8 thousand rubles.

The sentence has not become operative yet and can be appealed against within 10 days in the Penza regional court.
