Penza former chief of tax inspection will be let out on bail of 5 million rubles

Penza, 14 September 2011. PenzaNews. The former chief of tax inspection of Leninsky district of Penza was accused of wrongful compensation of VAT for a total sum of 50 million of rubles. The preventive punishment was changed for him, imprisonment was canceled and he will be let out on bail of 5 million rubles.
The senior assistant on interactions with mass media of the department of the Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation in the Penza region Maria Orlova said: "Till the moment of transfer of the specified sum into the depositary account of judicial bodies the former chief of tax inspection on the Lenin district of the city of Penza will be in pre-trial detention center".
She explained that the criminal case was initiated according to part 2 item 199 of the criminal code of the Russian Federation "Concealment of money or property of the organization or the individual businessman on account of which tax collection should be done" and part 4 item 159 of the criminal code of the Russian Federation "Swindle".
She said: "According to investigations, during the period since 2005 till 2008 members of an organized criminal group including the businessmen who were carrying out activity on territory of the Penza region and also representatives of tax inspection entered a collusion to steal money federal budget by deception of supervising body. Businessmen showed false documents on purchase of the expensive equipment which cost more than 300 million rubles and submitted the declaration for compensation of VAT from this sum".
According to her one of the organizers of the criminal group is arrested, other members have a recognizance not to leave and to have proper behavior.
