Penza, 29 September 2011. PenzaNews. Two employees of the department of internal affairs of Mokshansky area of the Penza region Alexander Bozhetkov and Gennady Gorokhov were condemned for the excess of powers and violence abuse.

Tatyana Ostrovskaya the senior assistant to the public prosecutor of the Penza region said: “It was established that Alexander Bozhetkov and Gennady Gorokhov was on duty they came by car to the work of the suspect to the joiner's shop of the village Chernozere of Mokshansky area, took him to the suburbs of the village and beat him, asking confess that he had stolen the mobile phone. They made not less than 11 blows by hands, feet and rubber hose therefore he got many bruises and grazes on head, breast and back”.

She informed that the former employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs were convicted and got punishment in the form of 3.5 years of conditional imprisonment with a trial period of 2 years. Besides, they had no right to occupy the posts connected with realization of functions of the representative of the power.

She said: “Defendants confessed and made amends to the aggrieved person. It was taken into account that they took pert in the investigation actively and one of them of had a child”.
