Penza, 6 October 2011. PenzaNews. The collapse of under construction underground garages occurred in GPZ-24 district in Penza, between houses №25 and 47 in Antonova street, on Thursday, October, 6th.

According to preliminary data, people who were near garages weren't hurt.

According to the eyewitnesses of an incident, roofs of underground garages fell down at 11.00. There are no information if there any civil work work was conducted.

Building of underground garages in GPZ-24 district began three years ago. In the autumn 2011 it was at the finishing stage. The workers started to strew sand over the roofs.

The reasons and circumstances of the collapse of underground garages will be established by the experts.
