Penza, 2 November 2011. PenzaNews. The Penza garrison military court condemned the former military man who did military service under the contract as the company execution officer, senior lieutenant Denis Bespalov. As the news agency PenzaNews reported earlier, the senior lieutenant of the military unit №3473 in Zarechny of the Penza region was arrested on suspicion of extortion and beatings of the recruit from Saratov Sergey Vasin in March, 2011.

The press-service of the Penza garrison military court said: “He was convicted for fulfillment of four crimes according to item “a” part 3 article 286 of the criminal code of Russian Federation. Being the official, he infringed item 7 of Disciplinary charter of Armed Forces of the Russian Federation and exceeded his authority and entailed essential infringed the rights and legitimate interests of subordinates. He beat three soldiers violently”.

Taking into account the opinion of victims who asked to be indulgent to Denis Bespalov, having specified that he apologized and they forgave him and he compensated the harm, the court imosed the lieutenant the punishment in the form of imprisonment for the term of 2 years conditionally with a trial period of 2 years.
