4 pedestrians were lost in road accidents in Penza last weekend, two drivers are searched by police

Penza, 7 November 2011. PenzaNews. Five persons including four pedestrians were lost in road accidents on the territory of the Penza region last weekend, on November, 5th and 6th.

The press-service of the department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation in the Penza region said: “In the morning on November, 5th in Spassky area the driver of “VAZ-21065” drove into a pedestrian on the crossing of the road. The pedestrian was 55-year-old resident of Spassk who was hospitalized and died due to received traumas”.

The press-service said: “The same morning in the Penza area the driver of unstated car, presumably “LADA Kalina” or foreign car of dark blue color brought down 73-year-old pensioner from village Lebedevka in a pedestrian crossing zone. The woman died on the site, the driver disappeared”.

“In the morning on November, 6th at a hotel complex on 762 th km of federal line М5 “Ural“ the driver of an unstated motor vehicle drove into the pedestrian who died on the site. Now the identity of the victim is determined. She seemed to be 35–40 years old. She wore a black knitted cap, green leather substitute female raincoat and dark gray woolen sweater. Her special sign is one artificial eye”.

The next road accident happened in Spassky area in the evening on November, 6th. The driver of "Daewoo Nexia" living in Samara brought down the pedestrian in crossing zone. There was a woman of 35-40 years old who died on the site due to traumas. The identity of the victim is determined.

The press-service said: “Besides, in the afternoon on November, 5th the driver of “VAZ-21102” who was in alcohol intoxication didn’t manage to drive and overturned a vehicle in a ditch. As the result of the road accident 35-year-old passenger died on the site between the villages Yulovo and Pichuevka of Mokshansky area of the Penza region”.

According to the department, the police are held investigation now to determine the identity of victims and to find the drivers who disappeared from the site of road accidents.
