53 road accidents happened during the first day of a snowfall in Penza

Penza, 8 November 2011. PenzaNews. According to preliminary data by 17.30, road accidents happened in the Penza region during the first day of snowfall on Tuesday, November, 8th. The inspector of traffic police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs the Russian Federation in the Penza region Pavel Boltyshev said that the number of road accidents will grow. He said: “Average number of road accidents is normally 35–45 road accidents a day”.

As it was reported earlier, “Diving” cyclone come from the northwest and brought snow and small warming up to -1 -4°C on the territory of the Penza region.
According to the forecasts, it will snow during the week and the first snow cover will be formed. It will be small, however the snow won’t melt as the temperature will be below zero. Ice-crusted ground is expected.
