Penza, 23 November 2011. PenzaNews. The director of the shop-center “Mega-Penza” Alexey Eremin said in the interview to the news agency PenzaNews that when the after-effects of the fire will be eliminated the hypermarket will start to work.

He said: “First of all, the building of the hypermarket suffered. It was damaged seriously. The tenants got fewer losses. I think that after the elimination of the after-affects of the fire all of them will return to their work”.

Alexey Eremin said that he was informed about the ignition at once.

He said: “I can not judge the reasons of the incident, investigation will find them out”.

The head of the hypermarket added also that the building of the shop center got insurance, however he refused to say about the insurance sum.

As it was reported earlier, it became known about the ignition in “Mega” at 6.25 Moscow time on Wednesday, November, 23rd. At 6.35 fire-fighting team arrived to the spot. At 8.30 the fire was contained and watering of the ignition spots was begun.

Fire captured the main building of the shop center “Mega-Penza”. The fire went to the roof of two-storied building where furniture store “К&M” is located. However these premises weren’t damaged by fire.

84 employees and 22 units of techniques took part in fire-fighting operations. It is the fire of the highest category.
