Two residents of Penza were accused of 750 thousand roubles extortion

Penza, 15 December 2011. PenzaNews. Two residents of Penza who are 33 and 35 years old are accused of fulfillment of the crimes provided by items “a, г” part 2 article 127 of the criminal code of Russian Federation “Illegal deprivation of the freedom of the person, not connected with its abduction, made by a group of persons on preliminary arrangement using weapons”, items “a, г” part 2 article 163 of the criminal code of Russian Federation “Extortion” and part 1 article 119 of the criminal code of the Russian Federation “Threat by murder and causing heavy harm to health”.

The deputy senior assistant on interactions with mass-media of the department of Investigatory Committee of the Russian Federation in the Penza region Maria Orlova said: “According to the version of the investigation, in April, 2011 33-year-old accused came to know that 32-year-old resident of Penza got inheritance after the death of the father and will receive half of the apartment house and a space of ground located in Timiryazeva street of Penza. Then he made the decision to make the woman transfer him the property and the right to the real estate cost more than 750 thousand rubles”.

She said that the man agreed with his friend to put the successor in the apartment and to demand her to transfer a part of the house and a space of ground.

She said: “In the evening on April, 27th, 2011 the malefactors brought the woman by the car to the apartment in Glazunova street of Penza. The accused locked the victim and kept her illegally, beat her by plastic bottle with water, threaten her and put a gas pistol to her head. Accused counted on reception of property profit on sale of the real estate extorted from the successor”.

She added that at night on April, 29th the victim managed to run away and applied to the law enforcement bodies.

Maria Orlova said: “Now the court impose a pre-trial restraint the preventive punishment in the form of imprisonment. The criminal case was sent to the Office of Public Prosecutor”.
