Penza, 11 March 2012. PenzaNews. More than 1 200 cases of alcoholic beverages intoxication 375 of which had lethal outcome were revealed in the Penza region in 2011.

“In comparison with last year there are 131 more case or 13 % increase. 25 cases of alcoholic intoxication among minor were registered, there no deadly outcomes cases,” informed the press-service of department of Russian Federal Consumer Rights Protection and Human Health Control Service for the Penza region.

According to department, 367 cases are registered in age group from 26 till 39 years, in group from 40 till 49 years — 297 cases, from 50 to 59 — 337 and 123 cases among people over 60, 76 cases among people who are from 18 till 25 years old.

Two cases of an alcoholic poisoning are registered among children under 6 age.

“Territorially alcoholic poisonings on areas and area cities were distributed non-uniformly. The adverse situation is in Kuznetsk area, Penza and Penzensky, Vadinsky, Luninsky and Kolyshlejsky areas,” informed the press-service.
