Penza, 20 March 2012. PenzaNews. Employees of criminal investigation department of Zarechniy city of the Penza region arrested 31-year-old man without a certain residence on suspicion of telephone swindle.

"In the afternoon on March 12 the man called female resident of Zarechny, pretended to be a police officer and informed that her son was arrested for drugs storage and he needed 50 000 roubles to cancel criminal case," informed the press-service of Office of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation for the Penza region.

In half an hour after a call the woman transferred 7 thousand roubles and on March 19 addressed to police with the statement .

"The suspect was arrested. Investigations proceeds," the press-service specified.
