Bribe to police officers prevented in Penza region

Penza, 20 March 2012. PenzaNews. Two attempts to give a bribe to police officers are stopped in Kuznetsk and Nikolsk areas of the Penza region on Monday, March 19.

"In Nikolsky area 27-year-old local resident offered the chief of department of traffic police illegal monetary compensation at a rate of 1 thousand roubles for incompleting the administrative report on p.1 item 12.12 of Administrative Code of the Russian Federation “Drive during forbidding signal of a traffic light or after forbidding gesture of the traffic controller," informed in press-service of the Office of Interior Ministry of the Russian Federation for the Penza region.

In department they added that the second case of attempt of bribery also occurred in Nikolsky area.

"41-year-old resident of Nikolsky area with a view of evasion from administrative responsibility for illegal reception of a breakage color and ferrous metals tried to bribe at a rate of 1 thousand roubles to district militia officer of police," they told in the press-service.

Punishment under item 291 of the criminal code of Russian Federation "Bribery" is 60-fold size of a bribe penalty or imprisonment.
