Resident of Penza region to receive 60 thousand rubles for burned-down house

Penza, 28 March 2012. PenzaNews. Penza regional court left the decision of Lenin district court of Penza without any change according to which one of the energy companies is obliged to indemnify a material loss to the resident of the Gorodishchensky district whose house was burnt down because of inadequate maintenance of power lines.

"The woman appealed to court when her one-storeyed log house burned down in September, 2010. A cause of the fire was short circuit in an air-line of the electricity cables passing over the house," the press secretary of regional court Natalia Bychenkova explained.

According to the interlocutor of the agency, the organization contained a power line in an inadequate way therefore wires sagged and sparks which got on a dry grass that led to ignition were formed.

"The representative of the energy company in a court session didn't recognize the claim. However Leninsky district court of Penza satisfied the claim of the victim and decided to collect 60 600 thousand rubles from the respondent that is the cost of the house and the destroyed constructions — baths, a shed and a cellar," specified the press secretary of regional court.

She added that on this decision the appeal which the court left without satisfaction was submitted.

The decision entered legal validity.
