Man convicted for carrying ammunition in Penza region

Penza, 3 May 2012. PenzaNews. The resident of Issinsky area of the Penza region, illegally keeping cartridges, was sentenced to 1-year conditional imprisonment with 1-year trial period.

“The man, carrying out repair work in a cattle-breeding farm, found 16 cartridges of 32 calibers under a metal grid on a floor then hid and kept them in his shed till summer 2011. Then he began to carry cartridges with him till February, 2012 while in an alcohol intoxication he was arrested by a district police officer and delivered to the police office,” reported the press service of Issinsky court.

In the department added that the cartridges were confiscated during the body search.

“The court delivered guilty verdict under p.1 art. 222 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Illegal acquisition, transfer, sale, storage, transportation or carrying of the weapon, its main parts, ammunition, explosives and explosive devices,” informed the press service.
