“Pavel is expected to have an X-ray to confirm a nose fracture. There is suspicion for brain concussion,” explained the deputy.

Commenting the case of party activist beating, Vladimir Simagin recalled the recent speech of Dmitry Medvedev in which he declared that citizens of the country got more freedom and could organize rallies, without being afraid of consequences.

“I will attend Dmitry Medvedev’s meeting with the CPRF on May 8. It is agreed that I will have a speech. So I will say that he is wrong and exemplify the case which took place in Penza,” said Vladimir Simagin.

“The head of administration increased fare by 60 %, people organized a rally, voiced their protest and shared their opinion. And after so-called freedom one got concussion, the other — “mask show.” This is Penza democracy. So I will surely inform the top head of the country about this case,” added the spokesman.

Besides, according to Vladimir Simagin, members of the regional committee of the CPRF intended to accept the political statement and to prepare inquiries to law enforcement offices.
