Criminal case against head of Povolzhye Group sent to court in Penza

Penza, 15 May 2012. PenzaNews. The prosecutor of Zheleznodorozhny district of Penza approved initiating the criminal case against the head of LLC Povolzhye Group Alexander Apenkin, who held the post of Director General of the companies group. According to the senior assistant of prosecutor of the Penza region Julia Makarova, the head of the company infringed the rights and legitimate interests of 430 shareholders of housing under construction.

“For his personal and others enrichment Alexander Apenkin, infringing the requirements of the legislation about share construction of apartment houses, sent money received from shareholders as loans to the physical and legal entities who did not have any connections with constructing works,” Julia Makarova explained.

According to her, the total amount of money that the Director General of the companies group directed for the purposes not connected with houses building totaled more than 15 million rubles.

“Criminal case against of Alexander Apenkin of committing an offence under part 2 art. 201 of the criminal code of the Russian Federation “Abuse of authority by a person who performs management functions in a commercial organization, resulting in serious consequences” was sent to Railway district court of the city of Penza for examining the merits of the case,” the agency interlocutor reported.
