Fifteen game clubs closed in Penza region this year

Penza, 1 June 2012. PenzaNews. Fifteen game clubs were closed according to the results of inspection, which has been held by the Office of Interior Ministry of the Russian Federation for the Penza region for five months of 2012.

“Since the beginning of the year we have held 76 checks of gambling clubs, 717 units of game equipment were withdrawn,” specified the department press service.

Following the results of checks, two criminal cases according to art. 146 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Violation of Copyright and Related Rights” and 38 cases of administrative offenses under part 1 art 14.1.1 of Administrative Offences Code of the Russian Federation “Illegal organization of gambling out of gambling zones” were initiated. The court brought guilty persons to administrative responsibility in the connection with 18 cases.

“In particular, police officers stopped the activity of an enterprise engaged in illegal gambling with the use of electronic equipment. They had a network of game clubs located on the territory of one of the municipalities of the Penza region. Police officers withdrew 111 units of gambling equipment. The criminal case under part 2 art 146 of the Criminal Code of Russia was initiated,” said the press service.
