Woman owner of 15 gaming machines gets fined 3000 rubles in Penza

Penza, 4 June 2012. PenzaNews. Oktyabr District Court of the city of Penza found a local female resident guilty of an offense under Part 1 of Article 14.1.1 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation of “Organizing and/or conducting gambling games with the use of gaming equipment outside the gaming zone or with the use of information and telecommunications networks including the Internet as well as communication means including mobile communications.”

“According to the administrative offense report this citizen carried out gambling games with the use of gaming equipment by collecting payment in the gaming area of one of the entertainment clubs of the city,” the press service of the Court told news agency “PenzaNews.”

In determining the type and severity of an administrative penalty, the Court considered the specific circumstances of the committed administrative offense and took account of the fact that the woman had no prior record of administrative liability.

“In this case the Court found it possible to impose a penalty in the form of a minimal fine provided by the said article in the amount of 3 thousand rubles together with confiscation of 15 gaming machines and 16 electronic microchip boards seized from the gaming area,” the press service explained.
