As the press service of Office of Interior Ministry of the Russian Federation for the Penza region told news agency “PenzaNews,” an unknown person made a telephone call to the police control room of Interior Ministry Office and reported that he was going to set dachas on fire. Police officers identified the telephone number, found out where the attacker was, and immediately went to the scene.
“The telephone terrorist was detained being in a state of alcoholic intoxication. Previously, he was convicted for various crimes,” said police colonel Valeriy Lipuntsov, the chief of police department No. 3 of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in Penza.
In the morning the attacker told the police that he had made a call out of revenge. The man was angered by the behavior of a local police inspector who had made him a remark on inadmissibility of visiting public places in a state of alcoholic intoxication.
“An inquiry into this incident is being conducted, following which a procedural decision will be taken. A criminal case under Art. 207 of the Criminal Code “Deliberately false report of an act of terrorism” is punishable by imprisonment for a term not exceeding three years,” Valeriy Lipuntsov said.
