“Penzadormost” member of staff held responsible for potholes on the roads in Penza

Penza, 26 June 2012. PenzaNews. Head of the railway section of municipal unitary enterprise “Penzadormost” was brought to administrative liability under art. 12.34 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation “Non-compliance of road safety norms in roads’ repair and maintenance.”

“As a result of inspection held by the prosecutor’s office of Zheleznodorozhny district with participation of railway traffic supervisory personnel of the State Traffic Safety Inspectorate of Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the city of Penza, and representatives of the operating organization, a number of violations were detected,” Senior Assistant Prosecutor of the Penza region Yuliya Makarova told news agency “PenzaNews.”
She noted that the state of roads and road networks in Zhemchuzhnaya, Proletarskaya and Lunacharsky Streets does not meet the requirements of traffic safety.
“The size of some potholes exceeds the index of 15cm in length, 60cm in width and 5cm in depth set by Russian National Standard. The formation of pits and potholes, size of which exceeds allowable values, were also registered at the crossroads of Uritsky and Dolgov Streets,” she added.
According to Yuliya Makarova, following the results of the inspection, the prosecutor of Zheleznodorozhny district of Penza approved initiating the administrative case against the head of the railway section of municipal unitary enterprise “Penzadormost.” The guilty person is brought to administrative responsibility.
