Penza, 29 June 2012. PenzaNews. A 39-year-old resident of the Penza region is accused of killing her cousin being jealous of her husband’s affection for her. “According to investigators, a 36-year-old victim asked her cousin to live at her place for a while. The accused woman who lived with her husband and children in Bessonovka agreed to shelter the relative. According to her, while drinking alcoholic beverages on 30 April 2012, the woman asked point blank her cousin if she had had any intimate connection with her husband. The cousin confirmed the suggestions.

“On the same day, being greatly offended the accused woman slipped some sleeping drugs into her husband’s and cousin’s glasses of juice. When the man fell asleep, the woman drove her cousin to the forest where strangled her with a rope. Then she took off some of the victim’s clothes (which she later burned in a furnace) and threw her keys and cell phone into the river,” said the agency interlocutor.

Mariya Orlova noted that now the woman is taken into custody. She is charged with an offense under Part 1 of Art. 105 “Murder” of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.
