About 20 cardboxes containing sets of powdered chemicals, which are used in medicine for the manual processing of X-ray and fluorographic films, were found in a forested area near Penza not far from the sports and entertainment complex Diesel-Arena. As one of the witnesses told news agency “PenzaNews,” some of the packages are torn, and the powder is scattered upon the ground.

“The road from Diesel-Arena to the lake near Zaseka restaurant where these chemicals were found is often used by vacationers, including children. I do not know what impact this powder may have on human health but in my opinion the road is not the best place for dumping such waste,” he said.

News agency PenzaNews has not received any official comments from supervisory agencies yet.
