The investigation began in April 2012, and established the identities of two residents of the neighboring region, who used to acquire drugs in Moscow and sell them in Penza. During one of the deliveries, the criminals were detained having fake IDs of Moscow police officers. Criminal case was initiated on the grounds of an offense under Part 3, Art. 228.1 of the Criminal Code “Preparation for the illegal drug sale on a large scale.”

Further investigation and operational measures identified the organizers of the wholesale supply. They turned out to be three residents of Moscow, who had been producing artificial synthetic drugs in a specially created lab.

As a result of the operation of Federal Security Service, the activity of the entire chain of drug trafficking, which included chemist manufacturers, carriers, vendors, and organizers of the supply chain was identified and suppressed.

“All eight participants of the criminal group are arrested. Currently further investigation and operational activities aimed at collecting and securing evidence base are carried out,” summarized in the office.
