Two traffic police inspectors detained for bribe taking in Penza region

Penza, 1 August 2012. PenzaNews. Two traffic police inspectors were detained in the Penza region for receiving a bribe of three thousand rubles for not filing a report on administrative offense on Tuesday, July 31.

“Both inspectors were detained in the course of operational activities by the staff of investigative unit of personal security police department. The materials on the case will be transferred to the Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Penza region to make procedural decisions,” the press service of the regional Office of Interior Ministry of the Russian Federation told news agency “PenzaNews.”

The press service stressed that currently detained employees were dismissed from their positions and would soon be discharged from the bodies of internal affairs for the commission of the offense, defaming the honor of Interior Ministry official.
