Penza, 2 August 2012. PenzaNews. Saratov resident was detained in Bashmakovsky area, the Penza region, for attempting to bribe a policeman with four thousand rubles for not filing a report on violation of rules for goods transportation.

“35-year-old man tried to bribe a traffic police officer for not filing a report on administrative offense in the “Bashmakovsky” intermunicipal office of the Russian Interior Ministry, for which he was detained by police and a group of economic security and anti-corruption,” said the press service of the regional Office of Interior Ministry of the Russian Federation.

According to the press service, the detainee is a deputy director of a production cooperative.

An inquiry into this case is being conducted.
