Penza, 6 August 2012. PenzaNews. Five people were killed in a car accident that occurred in the Penza region on Sunday evening, August 5. “In 7.45 pm in Bessonovsky area, Mazda 6 moving in the direction of Penza and driven by a man of 1989 year of birth collided with a VAZ-2101 car heading toward Moscow under the control of a driver of 1992 year of birth,” the press service of the regional Office of Interior Ministry of the Russian Federation told news agency “PenzaNews.”

According to the Ministry, the driver of Mazda 6 drove into oncoming traffic and made a collision with VAZ-2101.

Currently, four of the five victims are identified; the driver of the foreign car received various injuries, but survived.

The circumstances of the accident are being investigated.
