Retiree sentenced to one-year imprisonment for establishing narcotics den in Penza

Penza, 9 August 2012. PenzaNews. A 60-year-old resident of Penza was sentenced to one-year imprisonment in a penal colony for establishing a narcotics den in his apartment, which was identified by the staff of the regional Office of Federal Drug Control Service (FDCS) of Russia.

“Pensioner did not use drugs, but in exchange for alcohol, he provided his apartment to addicts, who were engaged in manufacturing home-made desomorphine,” the Chief Expert of Information and Public Relations Group of Federal Service for Drug Control of the Penza region Elena Samorukova told news agency “PenzaNews.”

She also added that since the beginning of 2012, the staff of the department had eliminated 49 drug dens.
