Penza, 15 August 2012. PenzaNews. The criminal case on the grounds of an offense under part 1 Art. 292 of the Criminal Code of Russian Federation “Forgery by an official,” was initiated against the former inspector of Traffic police of the Penza region.

“The results of inspection revealed that the Traffic police inspector had filed a knowingly forged report on administrative offense against 64-year-old driver during working hours at the intersection of Tolstoy and Suvorov streets in Penza in order to improve official performance statistics,” the press service of the regional Office of Interior Ministry of the Russian Federation told news agency “PenzaNews.”

According to the press service, the inspector filed a report on administrative offense against the senior citizen though he did not commit the violation.

The case is under investigation.
