Three pedestrians injured, one killed in traffic accidents in Penza region for the past 24 hours

Penza, 20 August 2012. PenzaNews. One pedestrian was killed and three injured in traffic accidents, which occurred in the Penza region for the past 24 hours. “At 11.10 in Penza near the house in Tsiolkovsky street, a driver of the car UAZ-469B lost control and hit a pedestrian, born 1955, who was walking along the sidewalk. The man died at the scene as a result of the injuries sustained in the car accident,” informed the press service of the Ministry of Interior Affairs in the Penza region.

Another accident involving a pedestrian occurred in the town of Kuznetsk: at the intersection of Kirov and the Young Guard streets a driver of VAZ-21074 turned and hit a woman who was crossing the road at a permissive green light. As a result of the accident she was hospitalized with a displaced fracture of both bones of a lower leg.
“At 22.00 in Nizhnelomovsky area near the village of Kuvak-Nikolskoye, a driver of VAZ-2108, born 1982, hit a man, born in 1966, who was crossing the road outside the crosswalk. As a result of the accident the man was hospitalized with fractured right leg and left thigh, and traumatic brain injury,” said the press service.
Another pedestrian, born 1959, was hit by a driver of the car VAZ-21093 at 423 km of the road “Nizhniy Novgorod — Saratov.” The man got closed craniocerebral injury, concussion, fractures of both forearms and right leg.
