The inspector of emergency platoon of the regional Ministry of Internal Affairs in Serdobsk district, the Penza region was found guilty of an offense under paragraph “a” part 3, Art. 286 of the Criminal Code “Abuse of power committed with the use of violence against the victim.”

“It was established that on June 3, 2012 the inspector of the platoon of the patrol service was delivering to the police department a drunken young man, who had been detained for disorderly conduct. The inspector hit the young man at least three times in the chest with his fist. Having arrived at the police department, he hit the young man again at least twice, causing rib fractures,” reported the Senior Assistant of the Head of Investigative Department of Investigative Committee in Penza, Media relations division, Lyudmila Fomina.

She added that the defendant was sentenced to three years of imprisonment with a probation period of 2 years.

“The inspector of the platoon of the patrol service is also deprived of the right to take any positions in law enforcement for a period of 2 years,” the agency interlocutor pointed out.
