Penza student accused of selling banned anabolic steroids to athletes

Penza, 11 September 2012. PenzaNews. 19-year-old Penza student is accused of selling hard drugs.

“The young man, sportsman in the past, knowing the popularity of some anabolic steroids among sportsmen, and the fact that they are illegal, ordered a large consignment of drugs from Belarus via the Internet,” the department of public relations of the Russian Federal Drug Control Service in the Penza region reported.

The accused was trying to sell anabolic steroids to Penza athletes through the Internet.

“A few minutes after one of such illegal trade operations, the young man was arrested by drug police officers,” the department explained.

The sentence must be pronounced by the beginning of the third decade of September. Illegal drug trafficking may result in eight years of imprisonment.
