Tamala resident sentenced to correctional work for insulting police officer

Penza, 13 September 2012. PenzaNews. 35-year old resident of the village Tamala, the Penza region was sentenced to four months of correctional work for public insult of a police officer.

“Convicted insulted the district police officer who tried to prevent the illegal actions of the man towards his concubine. The police officer was on duty at that moment, and the curse words directed at him insulted the honor and dignity of the official,” reported the Senior Assistant Attorney of the region Yuliya Makarova.

She explained that the man admitted his guilt and repented his deed.

“In addition to correctional work the court appointed to withhold 5% of the convict’s wage in favor of the state budget,” the agency interlocutor said.
