Penza, 28 September 2012. PenzaNews. Penza Regional Court upheld the judgment of Zheleznodorozhny district, and dismissed the claim of the former conductor to municipal enterprise “Penza passenger transportation” about monetary compensation of health damage in the amount of 100 thousand rubles.

“The plaintiff worked with a transport terminal — validator. Since it is an electronic computer device, the woman believed she was entitled to obtain guarantees and compensation under the existing labor laws for people working as computer operators. She also believed she received health damage due to radiation exposure from the validator,” informed the Senior Assistant Attorney of the region Yuliya Makarova.

She added that in the course of the case no link was traced between the health deterioration of the woman and the usage of the validator.

“The regional department of Customer Service of Russia confirmed the compliance of the transport terminal to sanitary regulations. In addition, the expert from the Center of Hygiene and Epidemiology of the Penza region concluded that the level of electromagnetic field intensity, the level of power density, and other physical characteristics of the validator correspond to the hygienic standards. The lack of ionizing radiation is also confirmed with job evaluation documents of municipal enterprise “Penza passenger transportation.” Therefore, the claim was denied,” commented the agency interlocutor.
