“On Friday, during the questioning, which ended late at night, the investigators received a fax from the Federal Drug Control Service of Tatarstan that they were going to question Olga Zelenina the next day as a witness. On Saturday, the officers of Drug Control Service arrived in Moscow,” explained the agency interlocutor.
Olga Zelenina noted that she “did not understand the purpose of interrogation.”
“They showed me the letter with my signature, which was obviously evidence in the case. I was asked why I gave such conclusions. I explained that I used to do it, because according to the law I was supposed to respond to the attorney's request, and now I say that if a person is innocent and the expertise can prove it, why I should not do that,” Olga Zelenina said.
According to the lawyer Philip Shishov, who was present at the questioning procedure, Penza scientist Olga Zelenina was under pressure.
“They made it clear that Olga Zelenina does not need to do research activities and respond to any requests further on. We were told that if this activity would be contrary to the conclusions of the investigation, Olga Zelenina will be in trouble,” Philip Shishov clarified.
As reported earlier, on Wednesday, August 15, several people (some of them were masked and had weapons) raided the house of the expert Olga Zelenina. Later she was arrested for 48 hours.
