Penza, 10 October 2012. PenzaNews. The resident of Zarechny, the Penza region, was fined 250 thousand rubles and lost the right to engage in teaching activity for two years for taking bribes.

“The Court found that the teacher of the federal state budgetary educational institution committed illegal acts — gave students satisfactory marks without testing their knowledge for remuneration of 2,500 rubles per person,” reported the press service of Zarechensk city court.

Later the man repented of his actions and pleaded guilty to an offense under Part 1, Art. 290 of the Criminal Code “Bribe taking.”

“When awarding a sentence, the court took into account little weight and degree of public danger of the crime, positive characteristics of the defendant, and the impact of the sentence on his recovery and living conditions of his family,” the press service clarified.

The verdict has not entered into force yet.
