Penza, 11 October 2012. PenzaNews. Penza police is investigating the fact of discovery of stock of newspapers with articles slandering the representatives of the regional branch of the Communist Party.

“The newspaper articles contain defamatory information. For example, one of the members of the Communist Party is called a criminal, and another — a CIA agent, which of course is not true,” reported the press service of the regional committee of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation.

The regional committee added that the information about the collected materials was sent to the election committee of the Penza region.

According to the deputy chairman of the regional election committee Alexei Klimuhin, the collected materials were passed to the police for further investigation to identify the manufacturers, customers, and distributors of the newspapers.

“The police must find out who to bring to justice, and what for, in accordance with the current legislation,” Alexei Klimuhin pointed out.
