Penza, 15 October 2012. PenzaNews. A criminal case under Art. 264 of the Criminal Code “Violation of traffic rules and operation of vehicles” was filed by the Investigative Committee of Russia in the Penza region on the fact of injuries caused to 30-year-old traffic policeman.

“It is established that on October 14 at 6.55 a.m. the resident of Zarechny, born 1988, driving VAZ-2107 being intoxicated, hit a traffic policeman near house No.64 on Chaadaeva St., Penza, who at the time was registering another accident that occurred on the same section of the road at 6.00 a.m.,” reported the press service of the Investigative Committee of Russia in the Penza region.

The ministry clarified that after the accident the traffic inspector was taken to intensive care with multiple limbs fractures and head injury.

“At present, investigative and operational activities, forensic medical examination of the victim and the suspect are carried out to clarify the details of the accident. The suspect was detained. The question of his imprisonment is to be decided in the near future,” explained in the department.
